President Obama has vowed to sign an international gun control treaty on this Friday, July 27th.
The United Nations has been working behind closed doors since July 2nd on their Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), supported by Obama and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Iran, of all nations, is overseeing the negotiations.
Once it is signed, it will be sent to the Senate for ratification.
We must stop this treaty from taking over our Constitutional rights.
This treaty will regulate and eventually confiscate, all of your weapons. It will decimate our Second Amendment. It will give crooks and thugs at the United Nations control over your freedoms and your right to own and operate a firearm.
Because the U.N. has been working on dismantling our rights, and specifically those guaranteed us in the Second Amendment, you may not feel this treaty is anything to worry about.
Please, don’t make that mistake.
We don’t have a President in the White House who is interested in defending our Constitution. Obama has proven time and time again he’s willing to tear down the foundations of this country in order to impose his agenda—and his agenda includes handing over our sovereignty to a world body like the United Nations.
Senators in both parties, for whatever reason, have also been willing to go along with the drafting of the ATT and “wait and see” what the U.N. comes up with.
That is why we must, without hesitation, make our opposition to this treaty known.

The U.N. has been working on the ATT in private meetings, and we do not know what is included in the latest version that is expected to be signed on Friday. But, we do know that previous versions of the treaty call for, AT A MINIMUM:
• Establishment of a new UN agency, the Implementation Support Unit, with power to regulate anything having to do with guns that might be sold internationally;
• A requirement that every country submit its gun control plan to the ISU;
• A requirement for every country to implement internal tracking of all gun sales within its borders (outright registration!); and,
• A ridiculously expensive requirement for every single of round of ammunition to be stamped with a unique serial number.

Our Second Amendment proclaims that, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."That Amendment means nothing to the United Nations. In fact, in the wake of the Aurora, Colorado theater shooting, the U.N. member states are more likely to want to take away our gun rights, and Members of Congress may feel pressure from anti-gun groups to go along with it.
It happens every time some maniac inflicts tragedy upon us with a gun—anti-gun advocates line up for talk shows, the lobbyists come out of the woodwork, and there is a call for broad gun “reform” and “control.”
But when this has happened before, the U.N. had not been actively meeting, at the same time of the tragedy, developing strategies to take away our rights.
This time, they are...a perfect storm for the gun grabbers to sell gun control to our politicians.

The ATT means you will have to give up your Second Amendment rights and turn gun control over to the United Nations. It also could mean that foreign nations—including our enemies—will have access to your personal information.
Insist Congress Stand Up for the Second Amendment
Assuming the U.N. passes this treaty and President Obama signs it on Friday, the United States Senate will still have to ratify it, requiring 67 votes.Remember, the Senate does not have a Republican majority right now. We cannot sit back and assume that there is NO WAY we are going to lose our gun rights.
We just cannot afford to assume that our Constitutional rights will remain intact. After all, we have a President who shows great disdain for both our Constitution AND our Congress, frequently bypassing both to get what he wants.
And we have a nation mourning the despicable act of a madman at a theater in Colorado.
