Do you hear that? That’s the sound of John Boehner stabbing you in the back!
During an appearance on a Sunday Morning talk show, GOP Speaker John Boehner admitted that even though he knows he has the authority to arrest Lois Lerner himself, he won’t do it.
Think about that. Boehner and the RINOs originally had no intention of holding Lois Lerner in Contempt of Congress. They were just going to let Lerner live out the rest of her life in retirement, paid for by John Q. Public. But YOU forced them to listen to the American people. It was your faxes and calls that convinced establishment Republicans that the path to reelection travels through a Lois Lerner contempt vote.
Last week, the House voted to hold Lois Lerner in contempt. This should have been the first step towards actually getting to the bottom of the IRS scandal. But it won’t be… unless you act!
John Boehner refuses to use his constitutional powers to arrest and incarcerate Lois Lerner. He admits that he has the authority to throw Ms. Lerner in jail, but he chooses not to. He said that it is up to Eric Holder to prosecute Lois Lerner and that the “ball is in his court.” Has John Boehner been awake during the last six-years? Not only is Eric Holder completely corrupt and unwilling to prosecute Obama administration officials, but the DOJ was actually found to be complicit in the IRS targeting scandal! If left up to Eric Holder, Lois Lerner will never see the inside of a jail cell. Congress must act and incarcerate Lois Lerner, even if that means going around or replacing John Boehner!
The Lois Lerner contempt vote was nothing but a dog and pony show. What’s the purpose of holding this criminal in Contempt of Congress if she won’t actually be punished for her crimes? This is just political theater. The Republicans are trying to check something off their list of reelection requirements, assuming that their contempt vote will be enough to capture your support.
Congress needs to understand that unless it uses its authority and arrests Lois Lerner itself, these establishment Republicans can kiss their reelection prospects goodbye!
Public opinion is clearly against Lois Lerner and the Obama administration’s actions targeting Conservative groups. Yet our representatives have long since abandoned the people. They no longer represent our interests… they do the minimum necessary to convince voters to reelect them!
Holding Lois Lerner in contempt was more than just a campaign promise. It was an essential step in getting to the bottom of the IRS scandal. The American people deserve the truth, and the only way to get Lois Lerner to talk is to throw her in jail!
But, John Boehner does not have the fortitude to do what is necessary to get to the bottom of this scandal. He has no desire to actually hold Lois Lerner accountable. Holding her in contempt was nothing but political theater, meant to gin up support during an election year. Yet, by handing the case over to the corrupt Department of Justice, Boehner has ensured that Lois Lerner will never be prosecuted for her crimes!
One man cannot be allowed to stop Americans from receiving the truth that they deserve! If Congress truly wants to get justice for the Conservative groups unfairly and illegally targeted by this administration, Lois Lerner must be thrown in jail. That is the million dollar question, however…
Does Congress care about the American people anymore? If it does, than it must do everything in its power (including replacing John Boehner) in order to ensure that Lois Lerner is thrown in jail!
This is a call to action! Your voice has power!
Let Congress know that the American people have no need for political theater… they need results! Congress must throw Lois Lerner in jail for her crimes!
