Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen, because the news surrounding the IRS scandal is going to make you angrier than you have been in a while.
As you know, a Federal judge demanded that the IRS testify under oath concerning the fate of Lois Lerner’s hard drive and emails.
Lois Lerner was the IRS bureaucrat in charge of non-profit compliance. Throughout the Obama presidency, she reigned over a department within the IRS that deliberately targeted Conservative non-profit organizations to delay them from receiving tax-exempt status and effectively keep them out of the 2012 election.
Over that time, she emailed a lot of people. Hundreds of people. The emails that Congress has been able obtain show a woman who was at the heart of this scandal and was eager to ‘right the wrongs’ of the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. They show a woman who was so intent on limiting conservatives’ right to free speech that she would deliberately bog groups down in ridiculous and endless paperwork.
But Congress only has a handful of Lois Lerner’s emails. The rest were apparently “lost” when Lois Lerner’s computer and hard drive “crashed.” At least that is what the IRS is claiming. On Friday, the IRS officially responded to the Judge’s ruling and informed the court that when multiple data technicians were unable to recover the data off of Lois Lerner’s hard drive, it was physically erased and destroyed.
What the IRS isn’t telling you is that this hard drive “crash” came just days after the IRS was notified that Lois Lerner was under a Congressional investigation. The minute the IRS learned it was the subject of an investigation, it had an obligation under the law to back up all of the relevant data.
And guess what… the IRS didn’t. The IRS defied Congressional investigators and allowed Lois Lerner’s data to become corrupted and deleted.
But now, the tax agency has informed investigators that almost TWENTY people, all connected to Lois Lerner, have also had their hard drives conveniently “crash!”
The cover-up at the IRS is in full swing! Congress must arrest Lois Lerner and demand that a Special Prosecutor be appointed to the case!
As if the IRS’s story couldn’t get more ridiculous, the tax agency just notified Congress that a number of Lois Lerner’s associates, who she emailed on a regular basis, also experienced catastrophic computer “crashes.” Wow… what a coincidence. Right as investigators are bearing down on them, we learn that pretty much everyone Lois Lerner was emailing also had their data corrupted and lost.
David Fish was one of Lois Lerner’s advisors. The two emailed one another often. His computer conveniently “crashed.”
Andy Megosh also worked with Lois Lerner at the IRS. As a manager of Exempt Organizations Guidance, he communicated with Lois Lerner on an almost daily basis regarding organizations’ applications for tax-exempt status.
Then there is the example of Kimberly Kitchens, an IRS employee in the Cincinnati Office who donated to Barack Obama’s re-election campaign. Remember when Lois Lerner and the IRS claimed that the whole IRS scandal was the fault of a few agents in Cincinnati? Well, her hard drive also just “crashed.”
All in all, the IRS estimates that a little less than TWENTY hard drives crashed, most belonging to employees with clear connections to Lois Lerner.
Why does this matter? It matters because anyone with half a brain knows that IRS is lying when it claims it cannot recover Lois Lerner’s emails. The wonderful thing about email is that there is always a sender and a recipient. Every email that Lois Lerner sent or received exists on another hard drive or server.
If you send an email to someone, there are records of it every step of the way between the sender and the recipient.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that there is a massive cover-up going on in the IRS. There are forces at work doing everything they can to shroud Lois Lerner’s involvement in the scandal. I suspect that the reason for this defense is the fact that if Lois Lerner is broken, she will lead investigators straight to the White House!
Ever since the beginning, we knew that the IRS was lying. Just because Lois Lerner’s hard drive crashed doesn’t mean the emails are inaccessible. They still exist on the hard drives of whomever she was communicating with. But now, we are hearing one by one that all the people who worked with Lois Lerner are also experiencing conveniently timed computer “crashes.”
Don’t you see what is happening? People within the executive branch are systematically destroying evidence. They first tried to just erase Lois Lerner’s hard drive, expecting Conservatives to just accept that. But when you and other like-minded patriots demanded that Congress follow the trail and subpoena the email records of everyone Lois Lerner was communicating with, all of a sudden their computers started crashing too!
Congress goes on vacation in a little under a week. If a special prosecutor is not assigned before then, God only knows how many records and documents will have been destroyed once your Representatives and Senators return from the Congressional recess. If Congress doesn’t arrest Lois Lerner and push for a Special Prosecutor, we will never get to the truth!
Based on how large the IRS scandal has grown, there is no doubt in my mind that this stretches all the way to the White House. That’s the only explanation for how everyone connected with Lois Lerner has experienced conveniently timed “computer crashes.”
You have the power to pressure Congress to act! Join me and raise your voice to DEMAND Lois Lerner’s arrest and the appointment of a Special Prosecutor!
