GOPers just did the unthinkable and approved a bill to protect Robert Mueller's witch hunt!
News just broke that the Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to send the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act to the full floor of the Senate for a vote. The bill would make Robert Mueller more powerful than any other government official in America -- more powerful than even President Trump -- by requiring that a judge sign-off on any decision to fire him.
This comes on the heels of news that Rudy Giuliani met face-to-face with Robert Mueller. Giuliani was hired to speed up Mueller's witch hunt so that the President can move on with the business of running the country.
The thought of Mueller closing down shop terrifies the establishment. They never wanted Trump to win. RINO traitors like Jeff Flake and Lindsey Graham literally wanted Hillary Clinton to win.
Is it any surprise they now want to make sure the Mueller investigation continues indefinitely?
Senator Graham is pushing forward with a bill to safeguard Mueller's witch hunt and ensure it can go on in perpetuity.
Mitch McConnell announced last week that he wouldn't put the bill to the floor, but Graham and his Democrat allies are pushing forward anyway. Why? Because they believe they have enough support to force a vote.
After previously promising to block the bill, Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley decided to allow the Mueller protection bill to have a vote in his committee.
It just passed the Senate Judiciary Committee by a 14-7 vote. Four Republicans -- Senators Jeff Flake, Thom Tillis, Lindsey Graham, and Chuck Grassley -- jumped ship and voted with the Democrats. The next step is a full vote to make Mueller's witch hunt permanent!
Democrats are already celebrating and trying to force a vote.
Senator Dianne Feinstein could hardly contain her excitement. "Good news," she announced. "The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to send the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act to the full Senate. This is an important step to protect the special counsel from being fired."
Other Democrats are starting to pressure other GOP moderates to jump ship as well and help force a full vote on the bill.
Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) -- who has always been a NeverTrumper -- is apparently considering doing just that. Others are quietly mulling their options.
The Mueller probe has been at it for a year and found nothing. No evidence of collusion, no evidence of obstruction of justice... nothing. Unable for find evidence for any of it, Mueller has gone after Trump's allies for anything he can find.
Paul Manafort is being prosecuted for failing to register as foreign agent a decade ago, not paying all his taxes, and lying on a mortgage application form. Nothing to do with Russian collusion.
Michael Flynn was charged with lying to Federal investigators about a perfectly legal conversation he had with the Russian ambassador. Nothing to do with Russian collusion.
Donald Trump's personal attorney had his home, office, and hotel room raided -- on Mueller's suggestion -- looking for privileged communications between him and Trump and evidence that he might be breaking the law with his taxi business. Nothing to do with Russian collusion.
The establishment wants the Mueller witch hunt to go on indefinitely because they want Trump and his team destroyed. That can't happen if Mueller is forced to close up shop.
That is why they are pushing the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act. They want to make Robert Mueller the most powerful man in America, able to go after President Trump indefinitely, without having to answer to anyone.
The cowards pushing this bill believe they have enough support to bypass McConnell (and Ryan) to force a full vote on this.
Already, spineless Republicans are jumping ship and joining the assault against the President. The establishment knows that Mueller is the only way left for them to undo the 2016 election results...
