Eventually, something had to give. Conservatives can only stomach so much inaction from Congressional leadership before saying, 'enough is enough.' Well, we just hit that point.
Multiple news outlets have reported over the past few days that there is a coup brewing in both the House and the Senate. The GOP leadership simply refuses to pass President Trump's agenda because, quite frankly, they want him to fail and Conservatives are tired of carrying their water.
Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell would have much rather preferred a Hillary Clinton Presidency. Then, they would have been able to keep making promises without having to worry about delivering on them. We learned this week that the GOP establishment actually told Donald Trump to quit last October. They were so eager for a Hillary Clinton victory, they wanted Trump to completely withdraw from the race.
This was right around the time that Paul Ryan promised his colleagues in the House that he would never support Trump or his policies. Is it really any surprise that he's now making good on that threat?
Where is the border wall? Where is the pro-gun legislation we were promised? Where is Obamacare repeal? Why on earth is the United Nations still feeding off of American taxdollars? Where is tax reform?
On issue after issue after issue, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have failed this country. They have failed conservatives.
They failed YOU.
The only thing blocking the President's agenda is the GOP leadership. Every day, they get to work figuring out new ways to make sure that Congress does absolutely nothing.
What is Paul Ryan's excuse? He is claiming that it just "isn't the right time" to pass the agenda the American people voted for.
Republicans control all of government and he has squandered an entire year because he doesn't think the timing is right. Meanwhile, Ryan, McConnell, and the GOP leadership have been greenlighting what remains of the Obama adenda.
They spent eight years promising to repeal Obamacare and they just completely refunded it.
They spent more than five years literally suing the Obama administration to shut down their amnesty programs, and now the GOP establishment is promising to codify them into law.
The wall? Even though Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell literally voted to build a border wall in 2006, they're now actively blocking any funding from going to it.
And despite declaring Obama's role in the UN Climate Treaty to be unconstitutional, two RINOs just helped Democrats pass a budget amendment to keep it fully funded.
The Conservative movement deserves better than this. You deserve better than this.
The truth is that not much would be different if Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer were in charge of Congress. That's how bad Ryan and McConnell are.
Think about it. The conservative agenda would still be collecting dust, Trump's nominations would continue to be filibustered, and all of Obama's remaining programs would get renewed.
In other words, exactly what Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell have given us. It has been almost eight months since President Trump was inaugurated and the only thing these RINOs have done is reveal their cowardice and true intentions to the world.
In the final two years of the Obama Presidency, the GOP-controlled Congress got 329 bills signed into law. During the first year of the Trump Presidency, that number is just 56 and most of them came in the first weeks of the new administration. They aren't even trying anymore. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell simply refuse to act.
These are not the leaders who will take this country back. All these years, we thought we had to take this country back from Obama and the Democrats when in reality. The truth is, we cannot move forward until these turncoat Republicans are removed from power!
