This week, the United Nations' annual climate conference is taking place in Bonn, Germany. President Trump announced that the United States was withdrawing from the UN Climate Treaty and would not make good on the financial promises that Obama made the UN.
The United Nations turned around and said, "no." The UN isn't allowing America to leave this horrible treaty. Even though Barack Obama never had the treaty ratified, the UN is arguing that the United States is still bound to it.
So, with the President in Asia and Mike Pence in Texas meeting with the victims of the Sutherland Springs shooting, 48 US officials, almost all being Obama holdovers, showed up to the UN conference on Monday. They are now holding meetings with world governments to figure out how to bypass Pres. Trump's decision.
These same representatives are the ones who worked with the UN to design the treaty to let them bypass Congress. Now, they want to bypass the President.
Shut it down!
These diplomats made news when they leaked to the Press a few weeks ago that the United States would be staying in the UN's climate treaty. The White House vehemently denied that and the story just vanished.
Now, we are seeing their end game. These climate change radicals are working with the UN to help them implement the treaty anyway.
A few weeks ago, news broke that RINOs on the Senate Appropriations Committee had teamed up with Democrats to defy President Trump and continue funding the UN's radical climate agenda. Senators Lamar Alexander and Susan Collins voted with Democrats. Lindsey Graham abstained from the vote, allowing the amendment pass.
Here is the good news: this isn't over. By trying to force this amendment onto the American people, the Senate passed a different version of the spending bill than the House of Representatives. That means that GOP leadership will meet behind closed doors to hash out the disagreements and settle on a final version of the bill.
The question you need to ask yourself is this: Do you trust Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to pull the UN's funding?
My answer is NO. And Conservatives in Congress don't trust them either. That is why they have introduced H.R.673, the No Tax Dollars for the United Nations' Climate Agenda Act.
The bill is one sentence long: "No funds made available to any Federal department or agency may be used to make assessed or voluntary contributions on behalf of the United States to or for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, or the Green Climate Fund."
Obama defied Congress and gave more than a billion to these radical UN climate change agencies before he left office. His goal was for Hillary Clinton to continue making the donations when she won. Now that Trump is President, Democrats and liberal Republicans are trying to restart those donations.
We blew the whistle on this treachery. Conservatives in Congress have listened and introduced a piece of legislation that would put a stop to all of this. It is up to us to force Congress to pass it!
Don't allow these RINOs to keep funding this UN treaty!
Pull the plug on this plot all together and force Congress to defund it now!
